Widget
To start, pause, and stop Tasks directly from your device’s home screen, add a Home-Screen Widget.
Long press on your home screen and choose "Widgets" or use any other process of adding widgets depending on your Android Version.
Select the Timesheet Widget and drag it from the page to your home screen.
You can select a project and start it directly from the Widget.
