Settings
Settings let you adjust how Timesheet looks and behaves, including language, regional formats, currency, timer rounding, summary emails, and export options. The page is split into sections: Global, Timer, Summary, and Export.
Global settings
The Global section controls your appearance, regional formats, defaults, and display options.

Appearance and language
- Theme: Choose Light or Dark for the interface.
- Language: Set the language used across the app.
Region and formats
- Timezone: Set your timezone so times are tracked and shown correctly.
- First day of week: Choose the day your week starts on (for example Monday).
- Date format: Choose how dates appear, for example dd.MM.yyyy.
- Time format: Choose how the time of day appears, for example HH:mm.
- Duration format: Choose how durations appear, for example hh:mm:ss.
Currency and distance
- Currency: Set the currency symbol used for rates and amounts.
- Distance: Choose the distance unit, for example kilometers (km).
Default durations
- Default Task Duration: The duration prefilled when you create a task, in minutes.
- Default Break Duration: The duration prefilled for a break or pause, in minutes.
- Calendar Slot Duration: The length of each time slot shown in the calendar, in minutes.
- Calendar Snap Duration: The step used when you drag or resize entries in the calendar, in minutes.
Display options
- Entries per Page: The number of rows shown per page in lists, for example 25.
- Show totals without breaks: When on, totals exclude break and pause time.
- Autofill Project selection: When on, your last used project is preselected when you create a task.
Timer settings
The Timer section controls how tracked time and breaks are rounded, and what happens when you stop a timer.

Rounding
- Timer Rounding: Round tracked time to a set interval, or keep it Exactly as recorded.
- Timer Rounding Type: Choose the rounding direction (for example Down) for tracked time.
- Pause Rounding: Round break and pause time to a set interval, or keep it Exactly as recorded.
- Pause Rounding Type: Choose the rounding direction (for example Down) for breaks and pauses.
On stop
- Edit Task on stop: When on, the task opens for editing right after you stop the timer.
- Edit Pause on stop: When on, the pause opens for editing right after you stop it.
Summary
The Summary section controls the recap emails you receive.
- Weekly Summary: When on, you get a summary email for the past week.
- Monthly Summary: When on, you get a summary email for the past month.
Turn off both options to stop receiving summary emails.
Export
The Export section controls how exported files are formatted.
- CSV Separator: Choose the character used between values in CSV exports, for example a semicolon (;).
Saving changes
Select Save at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
The automatic break rule in Timesheet is a single global rule set here in Settings. You can override it for an individual task when needed.
