Absence Management
Absence management lets you request time off, track leave balances, and handle approvals within your organization.
Absence management requires a Business plan subscription and an active contract.
Requesting an absence
- Go to My Absences
- Click New Absence
- Select the absence type (e.g. vacation, sick leave)
- Set the start and end date
- Choose full day or half day
- Add a reason or notes (optional)
- Attach documentation if needed
- Click Submit
Your absence is sent to your manager for approval. You can check the status at any time under My Absences.
Absence status
Each absence goes through these stages:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Saved but not yet submitted |
| Pending | Submitted and waiting for approval |
| Approved | Approved by a manager |
| Rejected | Declined by a manager |
| Cancelled | Withdrawn by you or a manager |
Absence types
Your organization defines which types of absence are available. Common types include:
- Vacation
- Sick leave
- Personal leave
- Parental leave
- Training
Organization managers can create and customize absence types under Organizations > your organization > Absence Types.
Managing absences as a manager
Managers can view and manage all absences for their organization under Organizations > your organization > Absences.
From there you can:
- Approve or reject pending requests
- View absence history for all members
- Create absences on behalf of members
- Export absence records as PDF
Leave balances
Your leave balance shows how many days you have available. It is calculated from your contract and updated automatically as absences are approved.

| Entitled | Days granted by your contract |
| Carried Over | Unused days from the previous year |
| Additional | Extra days granted manually |
| Used | Days taken (approved absences) |
| Pending | Days in pending requests |
| Remaining | Days still available |
Carried-over days may have an expiration date. Check with your organization for the carry-over policy.
